No, I don't have bugs in my apartment. As anyone who knows me can assume, I love me some Mexican food. After hearing about how difficult it was going to be to find jalapenos/tortillas/etc. I was a little worried about finding a taco here in the boot. Fear no longer! Right in the shadow of Vatican City there's a charming little spot called "La Cucaracha" which serves some of the best Mexican food I've seen in quite some time. The margaritas were on point and the sangria was cinnamony delicious. Charity and I started with some chips and guac, which was decent followed by some chicken fajitas (charity) and a trio of tacos for me. The Tacos Cucaracha consisted of three meats, some guacamole and some warm flour tortillas. There was a shredded pork in adobo sauce, what can best be described as pollo a la diabla and chili con carne. I also got a side of refried black beans because why not? All in all, it was a little pricey (as to be expected) but totally delicious. Our server was a nice young lady from Acapulco and it felt really nice speaking in a language I had some command of (Español). The wee baby Constance woke up during our appetizer and helped us finish our delicious repast. I wish I had taken more photos, but the food was just too good and we had to dig in.
